Focus on Multisectoral Collaboration – Civil, Economic, and Policy Dialogue for a Sustainable Future

On the Africa Expo Conference Day and the Hungary–Africa Week International Development Day, the focus will be on multisectoral collaboration. We will explore how civil society organizations and policymakers can work together to enhance the effectiveness of development projects. Discussions will address the practical challenges faced by civil actors during project implementation and the solutions they propose.

The conference also aims to examine how a supportive environment can be created in the field of international development, enabling different stakeholders to cooperate in a coordinated and efficient manner. During the day, an open HU-MAN roundtable will take place, providing an opportunity to share practical experiences, recommendations, and strategies.

The uniqueness of the event lies in its combination of presentations and panel discussions with practical, interactive workshops and roundtables, where participants can develop concrete solutions to real development challenges. A key theme of the day is the effectiveness and sustainability of multisectoral collaboration in the African development context.

The HU-MAN Network and the Future of International Cooperation

An open HU-MAN roundtable will also be held during the conference. The HU-MAN (Hungarian Multisectoral Africa Network) was established in November 2023 at the initiative of the Foundation of Africa.

The network aims to connect civil society, business, policymaking, and academic actors, providing a shared platform for Hungarian–African development dialogue. At the HU-MAN forum, participants will gain insights into the network’s achievements to date and actively shape the direction of future collaborations. The discussion is open to all professionals interested in international development and partnership network-building.
